Taina Schuster a transplant from Brazil is not only our women winner from the 30-Day Fat Loss challenge losing 18lbs and 3.8%body fat she is also our CrossFit Games Open athlete of the week!

1. Are you participating in the CrossFit Games Open 2018?

-Yes, already signed up!

2. How many times have you participated. If not, why are participating this year?

-This will be my first open. I'm very excited to see what workouts are planned for us this year! 

3. What kept you from signing up last year?

-I didn't sign up last year because I wasn't sure I would be able to do the workouts, it was my first year doing crossfit. But, last year I was able to watch and experience every workout from the open and it turns out the scale versions are for everyone! I am excited to see what I can push myself to do this year. 

4. Would you recommend the Open for everybody? If so why?

-Absolutely! The workouts are adaptable to your skill set, and everyone can join. Plus, I think it's a great experience to see your gym

Powerlifting Warm Up

 

Strength:

20min to complete:

Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3 reps

 

WOD:

Complete as many Strict pull-ups

alternating with Toes 2 Bar in 20

minutes as you can.

Subtract number of sets from

total reps to find score.

 

Fitness WOD:

Complete as many banded Strict pull-ups

alternating with Knees to Parallel

in 20 minutes as you can.

Subtract number of sets from

total reps to find score.
